My father fled the former Yugoslavia, (now Croatia) after WWII and met my mother, also of Croatian decent, in Canada in 1951. They were married in 1952 and he became and American citizen. These are portraits from 1991 and ’94 when working with the Bosnian children in the refugee camps. Croatia is my home in my heart.
